He contributed to the safe operation of Hydro-Québec’s Gentilly-2 Nuclear Power Plant and later founded the UK’s first engineering firm dedicated to Nuclear Equipment Qualification (EQ), supporting British and French New Build programs and strengthening the UK nuclear supply chain. His experience underpins NEWC’s practical, partnership-driven approach, bridging nuclear capability with local opportunity.
Brings over 20 years of experience in project management, strategic development, and organizational optimization across Canada and Europe. With a background in education, certification in human resources management, and deep expertise in training program design, he leads NEWC’s operations with clarity, structure, and purpose. Brings over 33 years of geological and executive experience across the energy sector. A PhD-trained geologist, he has led exploration, development, and evaluation of conventional and unconventional resources throughout Western Canada, Texas, and Mexico, with expertise in reservoir characterization, structural geology, and strategic resource planning. Prior to joining NEWC, Tony held senior leadership roles in the O&G industry, where he managed multidisciplinary teams, oversaw acquisition and divestiture evaluations, and mentored more than 30 professionals. During that time, he also had a role as Vice President, President, and past President of the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists (now called CEGA). His career reflects a commitment to bridging technical excellence with strategic leadership, advancing collaboration between government, academia, and industry to strengthen Canada’s energy future.

An emerging professional in Canada’s clean energy sector, Nathan supports the early development of Nuclear Energy Western Canada. Since joining, he has worked closely with NEWC’s President and CEO, contributing to stakeholder engagement, organizational development, and industry outreach. He supports partnership development, communications, and internal coordination as NEWC builds its foundation and advances responsible, collaborative nuclear development in Western Canada.
Is a globally recognized nuclear leader with over 40 years of experience. As former Executive Vice-President of New Nuclear Development at Ontario Power Generation (OPG) and former Director of EDF’s Nuclear Production Division in France, where he oversaw a fleet of 58 reactors, he also conceived and built Laurentis Energy Partners, developing it from the ground up into one of OPG’s most prominent subsidiaries. He also played an important role in establishing the Memoranda of Understanding between Ontario and Saskatchewan, Alberta, and New Brunswick, advancing SMR collaboration across Canada. Dominique maintains close relationships with Canadian key leaders across the sector, reflecting his deep and ongoing engagement in shaping Canada’s nuclear and clean energy future. He currently serves on the Boards of Cameco and Boralex and is a Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur.
Has dedicated his life to advancing sustainable economic opportunities for coastal and Indigenous communities. A former commercial fisherman and marine entrepreneur with deep knowledge of the BC coast, he leads Pacific Balance Marine Management and Aboriginal Equity Partners Inc. Chief Jones also works with national First Nations organizations to promote clean technologies, including Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and alternative energy solutions, aligning economic development with environmental stewardship.
